Graduate Site Engineer / Surveyor

Cambridge Construction Company is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer / Surveyor to join our Roading & Sub-division Construction Team.

Based in the Waikato, the hours of work are 7am to 5pm daily with weekend work and overtime as required.

Reporting to the Project & General Manager, your main responsibility will be the daily reporting for quality assurance, surveying and assisting with daily plant and labour requirements.

Construction set out- from design drawings using GPS & Robotic total station equipment
Setup 3D machine control for construction machinery
Operate AutoCAD & 12D model software program
Supervising Staff and Subcontractors as required
Assist in the collection of Quality Assurance Records
Providing technical advice & problem solving
Liaising with Consultant Engineers & Clients
Undertaking as built drawings
Actively participate in daily site toolbox H & S meetings
Actively participate in annual operator competency training & assessments

The successful applicant will have:

Suitable Qualifications or experience to fill the role
Proficient in AutoCAD & 12D programme
Experience using Leica Survey Equipment
Practical analytical skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work unsupervised and manage others
A strong commitment to Health & Safety

The successful applicant will be required to undergo reference and employment checks.
