Graduate Site Engineer / Surveyor

Cambridge Construction Company is looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer / Surveyor to join our Roading & Sub-division Construction Team.

Based in the Waikato, the hours of work are 7am to 5pm daily with weekend work and overtime as required.

Reporting to the Project & General Manager, your main responsibility will be the daily reporting for quality assurance, surveying and assisting with daily plant and labour requirements.

  • Construction set out- from design drawings using GPS & Robotic total station equipment
  • Setup 3D machine control for construction machinery
  • Operate AutoCAD & 12D model software program
  • Supervising Staff and Subcontractors as required
  • Assist in the collection of Quality Assurance Records
  • Providing technical advice & problem solving
  • Liaising with Consultant Engineers & Clients
  • Undertaking as built drawings
  • Actively participate in daily site toolbox H & S meetings
  • Actively participate in annual operator competency training & assessments

The successful applicant will have:

  • Suitable Qualifications or experience to fill the role
  • Proficient in AutoCAD & 12D programme
  • Experience using Leica Survey Equipment
  • Practical analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and manage others
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety
